Arkansas Interstate Highways Are Only As
Modern As
What We Invest In Them
In 1999, Arkansans voted for the AR Hwy. Commission to issue bonds
investing in smoother, safer Interstates. The result was the
1999 Interstate Rehabilitation Program, which modernized over 350
miles of Interstate. That's the good news. The other
news is that the 1999 program has come to an end and today AR has
over 650 miles of Interstate highways. So, more must be done
to finish the job.
